Dear Reader,
Happy Holidays to you, I hope it was joyous! My holidays were pretty yummy- literally, I've been eating myself out of house and home- and I've got the jeans im not fitting into to prove it. Holiday 15? Check!
This weekend, my dear friend Kaz hosted a holiday party at his beautiful house, and while there I felt I was in the "holiday spirit", for the first time all December! It was one of those parties where everyone knew everyone, but none of us had seen eachother in a long time- so it was just a wonderful evening, in the company of wonderful friends! Observation:Almost everyone there was dressed in shades of red,  green, white, and silver- the perfect holiday wardrobe colors! I wore this green silk maxi skirt I got earlier this week. Vintage find! Yaya! And the black booties i ordered from the Forever 21 website a couple weeks ago- I love themmm!! BUT im getting the heel altered- i think the boot is so fierce to be sitting on those puny heels. You know?
Anywho, my holidays were chill, spent with my boyfriend and my dog, watching movies, and drinking too many cups of hot chocolate. Different than the big family Christmas' I'm used to, but wonderful nonetheless.
  Till next time, friend!
Xx Amelia

p.s. Estilo Secreto- Tucking in a slim/tight top into a high waist skirt, and masking the divide with a great belt can turn a top and skirt into an amazing dress! Also, if you're wearing a top that is low cut, try using Hollywood Fashion Tape to make sure your top doesn't reveal your chesticals! Pulling-a-Tara Reid is not on the list of goals for 2011. xx

EVAPORATION, CONDENSATION, PRECIPITATION

Dear Reader, the following photographic diary will show me (Amelia) with a Vitamin D deficiency. Cause of deficiency? Well, I haven't seen too much of the sun here lately- It has rained, around the clock, for the past FIVE DAYS here in Los Angeles. I would move to Forks, Washington and kick it with the Cullens if i really wanted to live in this much rain. But i don't live in Forks, I live in the Sunshine State, and i wish to do a proper outfit post, in the great outdoors! Knock it off, precipitation! Thank you.
.....:::::That being said, here's some outfits i've been workin' with lol:::::....

Hooded Scarf- Crossroads Trading Co.
Feather Bow Headband- F21

I definitely did not give any justice pictures to the Helmut Lang body suit- it's so dope! I'll take some better pictures of it soon- maybe when i scrounge up the balls to wear it out? It leaves nothing to the imagination, let me tell ya.
On top of it being so frightful outside, I've been so disgustingly busy- but good busy! I just booked a role in RENT The musical, as Joanne! The show will open at the Hudson Theater, in Hollywood, in March, and i'm soo super stoked up about it! Thus, i've been neglecting my blog just a bit- but i'll do better, promise! No one puts baby in the corner!
Till next time! (Hopefully it won't still be raining)

Metallic Woven Belt- Vintage
Thigh Highs- ? My mum got 'em for me :]

Dear Reader,
I'm going to assume that you know that Christmas day is almost here. You go into Coffee Bean, and you can't order a drink that doesn't have "peppermint stick" added to the name. Vanilla Bean Peppermint Stick. Mocha Peppermint Stick. Bah Hum Bug! That's right, I said Bah Humbug! I'm here in sunny Los  Angeles ---> sans snow. sans my family! I'm a bit sad about not being able to fly home for the holidays...
But that's okay! Where there is love and joy, there is christmas! (That was cheeesyy) But I have tons of Love in Los Angeles, and I'll have to say that I'm pretty stoked to go to the beach on Christmas Day, I'm dreaming of a sandy christmas! (my cheesiness has exceeded it's daily limit!)
Happy Christmahannukahwanza, folks!
xx Amelia

p.s. Estilo Secreto: An interesting vest can always be used to make an outfit more interesting. I stock up on cool vests that i can throw over tees, tanks, and dresses- so when you're outfit is failing to impress, throw on a cooool vest and see if that up's the anty. X

Haha.
Fringe Vest- Forever 21 ($12 bucks on sale!)
Long sleeve cropped cardigan- Vintage Chanel
Grey Tank Top- American Apparel
Stretch Flare Jeans- Citizens of Humanity
Camel Boots- Diesel
Both necklaces- Random Vintage finds

Dear Reader,
For the past couple days Los Angeles has had the most dreamy weather- But whilst the beau and I were taking these photos it began to rain! Hence, my camel leather boots got water spots :/ Thanks to LA's weather bipolar disorder! lol. I'm always so happy to wear this "suede" fringe vest I got from Forever 21-last one on sale! It's so fun, and I can shimmy, in public, without people wondering why, haha.
Estilo Secreto: Want your jeans to hug you in all the right places? Make your butt look like Beyonce's? Buy stretch fit jeans! You won't find me in a pair of jeans that aren't 'stretch fit'. Tight where you want them- PLUS they won't loosen up as much as you wear them throughout the day.
Till next time!

BLOW FOR PEACE

Dearest Reader, let me start by saying, last night I had the most amazing night! Chock full of dance, good friends, great style, and gnarly amounts of inspiring young people. Have you heard of an organization called Falling Whistles? These kids/whistle blowers are literally starting a revolution in the Congo of Africa, where millions of children, everyday, are sent to fight and die on the front-lines of endless warfare- each armed with a whistle as their only weapon of defense.
Falling Whistles' mission? Peace.
